4K TV - can't fit a 55"

I’m someone else who thinks a 55 inch OLED would fit nicely there judging from the photo, I have to say that from your viewing distance you will not benefit from 4k over 1080p with screen sizes that will fit in the space.

It's a moot point as you can't buy any "good" 1080P TVs anymore.

They are replacing a tv that has nothing wrong with it with a 4K model, I guess I was really saying keep the tv you have
You can't? LG is still selling 1080p OLED.

If you can't fit a bigger TV in there maybe get a bracket so the TV is in front of the shelves.

Issue is though that, that would look stupid!

To be honest, i don't think it would, but then i'm not a fan of the recessed in a unit look anyway.

It depends on how it's done, but if it's overlapping the shelves either side and making it difficult to see the things behind i think it would look daft.

Enough space to put a centre and L/R speakers too on the shelves !!
