A year ago in terms of components when I moved to X299 and 1080Ti's. If there is one good thing about hardline cusotm loops, it makes you want to avoid taking it apart again :p

Have picked up few peripherals and headphones since then though.

It's been 8 months since I upgraded everything and unless the i9-7980XE suddenly drops in price due to intel abandoning X299 I can't justify buying anything yet...... 1080Ti to 2080Ti at 1440p is not worth the upgrade...... 4k monitor is a possible but I like my 32 inch 1440p (and it is only a couple of years old) .

I built my i5-2500k system in Jan 2011, in 2013 upgraded the graphics card to a Radeon 7950 3GB then nothing until August 2018 when I bought a Radeon RX 580 and then the new CPU, Motherboard and RAM in sig in September 2018.

My last purchase was on September 20 RTX 2080. I generally upgrade when I need too, but I’m slowing down now. PC hardware is becoming way too expensive so I expect the gaps to be much longer in the future.

Two years ish. And that hurt. Generally it’s something every few months, even if it’s just some keycaps, cable organiser, compressed air etc

Last upgrade was 16gb ram a month or so ago, and I’ll collecting parts for a WC loop and upgrade atm.

Come to think of it I might have a problem:p

Still on SandyBridge in my sig from 2012. Runs great still although replaced graphics in June. So for six years did not buy a thing for it.

Great generation. I think Intel scuppered themselves with such granular improvements, the older i5s and i7s are still excellent. Unless something changes drastically I don’t see me upgrading from my 4790k for years.

most recent purchase coffee lake 8700k earlier this year. Before that my two 908tis beginning of 2016. Given the cost of a decent upgrade to these, I don’t see myself upgrading for a while.

Probably about 10 years.
Overclocked Q6600 with a gtx 285.

Only really upgraded as it wouldn't run dx11 so the choice of games that worked with dx9 or 10 was getting smaller. Buying a new gpu on such an old system seemed silly, so it was new gpu, ram, board and cpu time.

I'm still using the same lian li case, hx620 psu and mx 518 mouse :)
