Man of Honour
Laptop? I don't even bother with my phone. With exception of my camera, I leave all tech behind.
No, I can't think of a reason to take a laptop on holiday.
I've got a phone that does all that.??? An essential tool. Looking up things to do. Discounts, what's on. Places to eat. Make sure things are going well at home.. Anything and everything. Having a laptop with you on holiday doesn't mean you need to be connected to work.
I've flown literally hundreds of times with a work laptop and never had it go missing. Same for the others on my team.Risk of it going missing at the airport scanners before you've even left the country? no thanks
In my experience it's normally the other way around - rarely has my stuff gone through before I have. Either way, I've done this for a long time and never had a problem. It's when you have to take your laptop out of the bag and place it in the tray for it to go through the scanners, it goes through but you are still held up in the queue waiting to be body scanned.
Because of all the military grade intel stored on it?the moment I ever get asked to give up my password is the moment I'd have to miss my flight. I don't have the same problem with my phone because it's wiped anyway.
