Hi.

Need some advice. I have a late 2015 15” MBP which works good but when under load the cpu sits @ 96 c until the fans ramp to 6k then it sits @ 80/90c. Is this normal. Is the same when using in macos editing and boot camp win10 with razor egpu running a rtx2060. Has never sent a temp warning or hung. Just scared it’ll burn and die in a ball of flames knowing my luck.

Yes, it is. Unfortunately. That's been the case across all of my MBPs (and I tend to upgrade with each refresh), as well as my Mini. Only one that doesn't appear to be as hot is my iMac Pro.

I usually find it far worse - especially with the i9 - running Bootcamp.

Download and install smcfancontrol.

Set your MBP fans to spin up at lower temps to prevent the hourly zero fan > max fan > zero fan nonsense.

You can set multiple profiles and have them ramp up automatically when the MBP is charging which is the worst case scenario combined with warm room and high CPU load.
