Apparently this alleged terrorist was in court today for the following:
  • One count of attempted murder, contrary to the Criminal Attempts Act 1981;
  • One count of possession of a bladed article, contrary to section 139 Criminal Justice Act 1988;
  • One count of Racially Aggravated Fear or Provocation of Violence, contrary to section 31(1)(a) of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998;
  • One count of affray, contrary to section 3 (1) Public Order Act 1986; and
  • One count of having an offensive weapon, contrary to section 1(1) of the Prevention of Crime Act 1953.
Interestingly none of the charges fall under the Terrorism Act 2000, but it's still being treated as a 'terrorism case' according to Counter Terrorism Policing South East. I guess we'll hear what happened in court soon, although probably only in the Staines Informer or local Facebook groups I guess. Everyone else seems to have stopped reporting on it now.

Oops sorry, this might need to be closed if it's still an active court case, although I can't find anything to suggest it is as the whole story has disappeared off the radar completely. Feel free to close if so though @Werewolf

More than 130 Muslims were massacred in Mali three months ago, but I didn't see any hand-wringing about that on this forum.

Well nothing stopped you raising it. But also the circumstances were different. Mali has been subject to ongoing tribal infighting for some time now. Sadly attacks like that aren't unique in happening there. It's also not likely that they were killed because of their religion or race (to an extent), simply because they were a different 'tribe'.

They were killed on the basis of their ethnicity and their religion. It's part of an ongoing genocide campaign led by the ruling Marxist-Socialist government (much like the situation in Myanmar, where more than 6,000 Rohingya Muslims were massacred in a single month two years ago).

Anyone still want to dispute this was a terror attack, now that the guy has admitted attempted murder in court?

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-surrey-49369683

A knifeman who slashed a 19-year-old Bulgarian in a Tesco car park after praising the Christchurch terror attacker has admitted attempted murder.

Vincent Fuller, 50, thrust a blade through Dimitar Mihaylov's car window in Stanwell, Surrey, on 16 March.

Prosecutors said the attack, a day after 51 Muslims were gunned down in New Zealand, was an act of far-right terrorism.

Fuller denies this, but accepts the stabbing was racially motivated.

Before the attack, Fuller declared support for Christchurch gunman Brenton Tarrant in a Facebook post.

"I am English, no matter what the government say kill all the non English and get them all out of our of England," he wrote.

'Kill Muslims'
The next day, Fuller approached Mr Mihaylov's car and shouted "you are going to die" as he swiped at him through the open window, prosecutors said.

His victim sustained wounds to his hands and neck.

Before the car park stabbing, Fuller had approached the home of a neighbour - who is of south Asian descent - armed with a baseball bat.

He went on to indiscriminately attack occupied vehicles, and was reportedly heard shouting "white supremacy" and "I'm going to kill Muslims".

Well...He seems to for a start

"Prosecutors said the attack, a day after 51 Muslims were gunned down in New Zealand, was an act of far-right terrorism.

Fuller denies this, but accepts the stabbing was racially motivated."

"I dispute that I'm a far right terrorist, I just wanted to kill ethnic minorities"

Hmmmm

A jihadi extremist wouldn't think they were a terrorist in their own mind either.

Seems rather obvious no? Going by what was said?

It's whether or not there was an implied political aim, which to me seems valid (halting immigration is a political standpoint).
