EQ can't do what room treatment can do

^ This.

EQ can tame some of the peaks, but where the sound waves are creating destructive interference there'll be dips that no amount of EQ can cure.

Energy has to decay in a room otherwise the sound waves bounce around too long and cause additional peaks and troughs plus overhangs that muddy the following sound waves. The best way to deal with the sound wave energy is to change it to heat or movement. Messing around with the polarity, phase and amplitude of a signal also changes its purity. It becomes something less faithful to the original.

GIK panels normally come with free advice on what you need, would seem invaluable in this case. Till you have heard how much difference it makes it’s a bit pointless arguing over the cost, but then it seems quality isn’t important here. Funniest thread I’ve read in ages.

Tried then out does make a difference. Put two on opposite wall one on right wall length ways above radiator. Need to get some plasterboard fittings for other wall.

Not too bad for £120.
