I had a quick look at UK companies house submissions (its free to view company reports) and although I'll admit I don't understand all of it there were 2x director salaries listed in 2018 of £250,000 each plus about £16 million in salaries for about 340 employees. Not sure if that covers the whole company or just UK/Europe though. I assume USA is treated seperately.
UK Company house submissions are for what it says exactly for UK companies they may have references to overseas companies but the actual figures are for the UK only arm.
Its shocking if you think about it but not surprising if you read the history behind the owner. All these people who spent more than £100 without doing research - a fool and his money are easily parted.
Actually I was intrigued so I thought I would have a look.
2018 Accounts (2019 not yet published)
Robert Space Industries
Turnover £17m
Gross Profit £484k
Employees - they have none but offcharge to parent company (Cloud Imperium)
£392k salaries (doubled from 2017)
Current Assets
£7.9m Creditors
£6m in the bank
Offcharges (to Cloud Imperium)
£5.7m
So not doing too bad considering they have no employees. I would say the salaries are actually paid to the 3 Directors Mr and Mrs Roberts and Mr O Freyermuth
there are 3 further companies also just picking out the most interesting figures
Cloud Imperium Games Limited
£18m Turnover
£500k Profit
£16m wages (doubled from 2017)
£8m Debtors
£11m Creditors
£7m Cash in Bank
Directors Renumeration £256k
Cloud Imperium Rights Limited
Turnover £45k
most of which is paid to Cloud Imperium LLC (below)
Cloud Imperium UK Ltd (this is the UK parent company of the above)
£17m Turnover
£800k profit
This one is interesting as two more directors came on in 2019 and bought shares worth
£15m in total.
They were audited which cost £31k !!
£16m wages (trebled from 2017)
£297k Directors Renumerations
£1.6m in intangible assets, intellectual properties etc
£2.4 in tangible listed as buildings/fixtures and fittings/Computers.
So considering this is just UK and there are companies in other countries eg Germany and of course USA/Texas they are looking okay.
