I currently have a GTX660-ti that I'm going to upgrade. I'll only be playing at 1080p.
Which would you say is better value:

Second hand GTX 1060 6GB @ £100
or
GTX 1660 6GB overclockers have going at £200

Nice to hear your thoughts. Would like to stick with Nvidia if any other suggestions are going.

Id buy neither personally.

If you just game at 1080p a second hand RX 580 would probably do you fine, im sure you can pick one up for £90-£100.

RX570/580 8GB for ~ £100 (used)
GTX1660 Super for ~ £200 (new)
RX5700 for ~ £300 (new)

Pretty much the best options right now for 1080p / 1440p gaming at their price points.

A used Rx Vega 56 or GTX 1070/1070Ti might also be worth a look at the right price.

Buy neither.
Buy the best GPU available on the market for price: performance which is a 980Ti, that can be had on the OcUK Members Market for <£130.

It totally destroys a 1060 6GB. It is ~20% faster than the 1660 too. Don't be put off by the face that the 980Ti is old because it remains a beast compared to the appallingly priced GPU market at the moment.

I play games at 3440x1440 which is around 3k resolution and only the latest games demand me turning down the settings. At 1080p you'll be able to run literally everything maxed out. Think of a 980Ti as more of a 1070 or 1160Ti equivalent.

Depends on the rest of your system, is it 1080p 60hz or 1080p 144mhz or higher ?
I got my sons 1060 6gb GPU's 2nd hand, this was before the 1660 and when the 580 was a lot higher so I got them around £100 each wouldnt pay any higher. They have 1080p 75mhz monitors and they mainly play fortnite and average 75-80fps.
If I had the money and again depends on your system and what games you play the 1660 super is a good buy.

i5 3570k @ 4.40
8GB DDR3
CX500M
Gigabyte Z77X-D3H.

Will be moving shortly to use my 60" TV. It is 4k but I know my whole system will struggle with 4k.
Up to £200 on a GPU as im going to buy a Corsair lapboard as well.

id seriosuly look at upgrading your ram also.

16gb should be minimum now imo for gaming sweetspot.
