Thanks for the heads up Gibbo, on both counts (very honest of you and not all retailers would have bothered). I know it's no loss to OcUK if we buy next Friday/Monday or whatever, as the OEM puts up the cash difference of the discount, but most eTailers wouldn't care as long as they got paid - today rather than tomorrow. I think I might need a 5700XT, mobo and (hopefully) 3950X...

I'm ideally after a 3600 (or x if the deal is good enough) but at that price I'd probably grab the 2700x as well tbh!

If gaming go with a 3000-series, they are *that* much better all-round for it

Ironically the others in that mid-range bracket like 2700, 3600, 3600x etc look about right.
