Not really no
But once you are at the bottom only 2 choices
Stay there or go upwards
Invariably most people go upwards
Though how long it takes to go upwards is the big thing and how far up and how long you stay there before going back down if you do go back down that is

Not really. I spent a long time being ******* off with life and it didn't get me anywhere.

These days, if it's something that I can fix then I'll do what I can to fix it, and if not then I'll stop thinking about it.

If something has happened and I find myself feeling sorry for myself I'll allow myself some time to visit self pity ville but I think it's important not to get stuck there.

Some things are easier to 'get over' than others and sometimes it's easier to see how you might move forward but ultimately you won't stop feeling sorry for yourself unless you take some concrete action, though sometimes that concrete action is accepting that it was worth a try but it wasn't to be and making your peace with that.
