Hi all

I'm thinking of getting a VR headset pretty soon but want to get my GPU to the right level to be able to run VR...

I'm currently rocking an older MSI 670 Twin frozr and have upto £150 to spend on a GPU, any suggestions please?

System specs:

i5 6600k
16GB DDR4 2400mhz
EVGA 500W PSU
MSI Z170A TOMAHAWK motherboard

Cheers
I would be looking to go 2nd hand at that price. I see you have enough posts to get on the MM, you will get a GTX1070 for that price...... I expect a 1070ti may be pushing it .

minumum for VR is GTX1050ti but personally i would not entertain a gpu that low..... a bad experience in VR can make you physically ill and poor vr could put you off for life.

min i would look at would get GTX 980 / GTX1060 but even that..... Basically VR will use what ever you chuck at it, so you should be looking to go as high spec as you can within your budget - hence 2nd hand gtx 1070

I'd agree with getting 2nd hand and trying for a 1070 or higher, I'm running a 1070 with a Rift S headset and that runs very nicely although haven't really pushed it with any simulator type games that might be more demanding

I've played Arizona Sunshine with a 1060GTX (6GB) and a 1080GTX, to be honest I didn't notice much difference....both were enjoyable experiences (Had two PC's running Rifts in the same room...really good fun!)
