Hi guys, I need your help please.

Totally obsessed with Football Manager - other than surfing etc, it's all I do on my laptop. However, current laptop is 4 yrs old and starting to creak a bit!! I need an upgrade...

I realise FM isn't the most "heavy" game to run on a PC but I need some advice on what I should be looking for on specs. I genuinely have little idea what's what so any advice would be great please.

Min specs required for this year:
"FM20 Windows System Requirements
Requires 64-bit processor and operating system
  • Windows 7 (SP1)
  • Windows 8/8.1
  • Windows 10 (1803/April 2018 Update)
Processor:
Intel Pentium 4, Intel Core 2 or AMD Athlon
2.2 GHz or higher

Memory: 2 GB RAM

Graphics Cards: Cards equal to or better than the following:
  • Intel GMA X4500
  • NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT
  • AMD/ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3650
256MB VRAM
DirectX Version 11"

I want to be able to run it comfortably and have a budget of approx £500.

Thanks guys :) :)

Dell Outlet Inspiron 15 - 3593 Laptop, Intel Core 10th Generation i5-1035G1, Windows 10, 8GB, 256GB PCIe M.2 NVMe,NVIDIA GeForce MX230 2GB on the outlet is less than £500.

The MX230 is ~500% better performing than a 9600M GT.

Sorry to be a pain, what do you mean by the above - "it's on the outlet?" Thanks for your advice!

The Honor Magicbook looks head and shoulders above everything at that price. Although the processor is now slightly outdated, it'll still do everything you need.

Edit: And FWIW Football Manager 2020 runs fine (if a bit hot) on my 2011 Macbook Pro. Any laptop you get with a modern processor will run it OK.

Any of the intel quad cores or ryzens will run it comfortably

id wait for a ryzen 4000 series to come back in stock iat that price if you can. Lenovo had one and I'm sure others will soon. Seems the best bang per buck

If need it now then there's been some good laptops posted. You could pick one on which other parts you like. Screen , looks , battery etc
