how often do you use vr? is it worth 600.00+

came into some money and been looking at vr for a while, I know I will love half life alyx but that aside are there any games that keep you coming back? Im afraid of dropping 1k on the full kit then after a while it ending up collecting dust, also a 6700k @4.8 and 2070super how well can I expect things to run? I play a wide range of games, csgo, witcher 3, card games, fighting games, mobas so out of that lot are there any winners or hidden gems that are like those?

Beat Saber is fun, but the most impressive thing ive seen so far remains google earth in vr.
