I'm not sure if it's specific to the OC cards but downclocking/undervolting them seems to sort it.

I ordered the day before and am only about 40 places in front of you. I'd be fairly confident that no more than 400 Palit's sold by COB on Sunday. Most likely less than that.

I'm just assuming we're gonna be waiting a while my good ole 1070 will be glad to hear it :D.

Yea my trusty Mini 1070 Ti with it's replaced fans a month or so ago (they started making a noise) can keep on chugging along maxed out to give me 3440x1440p gaming. You go little Mini and then you can retire to another PC with less demands.

Possibly, depends on how many is in next shipment. Palit confirmed on their twitter that more stock is shipping to the UK this week. They expect it to land in 2-3 weeks.

From the best info I can find most retailers and sellers receive between 50 and 100 allocated units, my sources are mainly Reddit posts however so probs gonna need more than a pinch of salt if I assume it's gonna be a while and I get it before the end of November I can only be pleasantly surprised.

My 1070 is staying in my old PC which will live the rest of it's live as my rocket league PC!

It's lived a good life.

All the parts for my new build are here next week apart from the elusive MSI gaming trio!

I put a pre order in for the 3090 much earlier than I managed for the 3080 so having my hopes high it won't be a long wait guys!

Don't forget that they've already shipped out some Palit, so that would push your queue number up. Also the unofficial calc doesn't factor in cancellations as well. I'm quitely confident i'll get it before end of October.

I think it’s wrong that Overclockers are still taking pre orders. They clearly can’t fulfil the already lengthy queue, so shouldn’t be taking more until they have cleared the backlog.

I think it's great they do. Personally, in between work and general life, I don't have the time or desire to F5 Nvidia or OCUK waiting for GPU's to be in stock.

3080's especially, they are so 'cheap' that millions around the world can afford one, and want one right now! Very hard to compete with that.

I ordered my card today, now I can sit back, think about other things, and know in the back of my mind that I have a shiny new toy arriving in a few weeks ;)

Competitors can display their expected delivery schedule, OCUK don't seem to be able to?

After several days OCUK still cannot give you a official wait list position!

Not really feeling that impressed sadly, even the sticky for updates has very little basic info other than drip feed after customers have already confirmed new dispatches.

Please, put more effort in!

How can they put more effort in if NV / partners arent giving them the dates to work with?!

The best thing that could happen now globally is preorders stop completely until stock has stablised and sorted. This won"t happen however

I said it in the other thread but will repeat it here.

OC telling people to be patient when they have customers money and have not provided the product they have paid for is never going to work out well.

The onus is on OC to supply information in a timely and frequent manner, there almost seems to be a dismissive attitude towards paying customers when it comes to asking questions about the products they have paid for, why is that?

Gibbo said in the other thread that "the suppliers aren't communicating much at all" it's not their job to communicate with OC is it? It's OCs job to communicate with them surely? Just like their competitor has (and got dates for delivery might I add)

Is OC saying they are not responding to their communications? That's not a good thing for us customers if that's the case...

I really feel like it's time we all started getting a bit more transparency here, everything is very flakey and non-committal from what I am seeing, I have shopped with you guys for years and never seen the customer service this bad quite frankly.

well done there pal. It is hard to beleive, that they have no idea about stock. I started to think , something is not ok with the cards from Msi and they are trying to fix it before shipping\sending to Etailers.

Personally I don't think there's any fundamental issue it's just AIB's only started manufacturing in mid August or so and container shipping from China to Europe takes 30 days. Small amounts of initial stock were air shipped in so retailers had something to sell and small follow up air shipments are coming in. For the real stock to land AIB's need time to manufacture them and get them on to a ship which will then take 30 days to get here. Unless AIB's suddenly decide to air ship large amounts which is unlikely it's going to be a long wait. I know people want info including me but this is just how it is.

I was hoping they might have a ship on the way but if they did they would know when it was arriving and be able to give info. They know golden week is coming so hopefully they'll get something out before then so it lands the end of October. If you're early in the queue hopefully you'll get the card from an air shipment before then though.

Did you even read the first line of my post?...a competitor is posting more info already!

The question is how many come into the UK via air shipment per manufacturer. Then how many goes to each retailer. How long should the customers of the first 50/100 cards of each brand wait? 1-2-3-4 weeks?

The least OCUK could do is get this official queue system up ASAP so people can see in real time what position they are in. Then they could give us some form of lead times so people can decide what to do. They could also stop pre orders now like all other retailers.

Are people really losing their minds over not having a 3080 to not play their backlog of 2005-2019 steam sale games :D

Give it a rest guys get some fresh air. NVIDIA have screwed this up fantastically. Jen has egg on his face after such a fantastic presentation they have been made to look micky mouse.
