Poll: Do you like the smell of cigarettes/cigars?

While being smoked, I can't stand the smell of any of them, having smoked less than 10 cigs a day from '95 to '05. The smell of an unlit cigar or pipe tobacco can sometimes smell nice.

Right, so, fresh tobacco = nice. Stale smoke smell = never. freshly lit = fine if im there, not cool if i have to walk through it? I don't know why that should be any different but it is. So.. sometimes yes and sometimes no. Maybe.

edit: oh, no pipes though. They suck...

I don’t like the smell of cigarettes. The smell sticks onto clothing, really offputting

After being in a "smoke free" UK for quite a while now, when we visited Budapest a few years back which still has "smoking is OK everywhere" relaxed rules, it was a reminder of how nice it is now in the UK to be able to come home from the pub/club without absolutely stinking of smoke, with black bogies and a sore throat the next day.

As a child, I often got car sick because of the smell of petrol. I asked my Dad to smoke a cigarette while he was driving to ward away the smell of the petrol, and this worked wonders for me.

You should have asked him to fix his car, so it didn't smell of petrol instead.

why would anyone like the smell of either of these things?

are people confusing smell with taste? tobacco doesn't exactly taste good though either unless your a nicotine addict
