Looking for guidance - ASUS 6800 XT TUF or Sapphire Nitro + OC

With prices heading in the right direction I am looking to get a 6800 XT.

I dont overclock and I have no interest in RGB.

I have narrowed my choices down to either the ASUS 6800XT TUF Gaming OC or the Sapphire 6800XT Nitro OC+.

Whilst the Sapphire has slightly better "stock" speeds it only comes with a 2 Year Warranty, whereas the ASUS TUF has 3 Years.

What is the general consensus on these two cards ?

TIA

I'd suggest Red Devil or TUF. I owned the sapphire and while nothing was wrong with it and peformed great the back-plate is plastic which feels like a cost saving measure and you'd expect better from such an expensive high-end card. Then I sold it and got a 3070TI and the one I have feels much more premium than the sapphire 6800XT i had but am still in the honeymoon period so may have green tinted glasses on but that's my experience.

Any special reason for this sidegrade? (you could even argue about it being a downgrade)

Only a matter of coin and not wanting to spend a grand on a GPU. Payed £940 for the 6800 XT in February and sold it for £1150 in May then finally settled on the 3070Ti which I bought 2 days ago for £770.

Feel much more comfortable around the £700-800 bracket then I did in the £900-1000 one. But I'm out the woods now and just going to enjoy this card for 2 years.

The 3070Ti does everything I really need and "it just works" couldn't be happier! :p

I can definitely recommend the Nitro+, it runs cool while remaining surprisingly quiet using the default fan curve, definitely the quietest card I've owned. Personally I think it looks great too. The ability to switch BIOS profiles via the software is useful too.

On the other hand the TUF looks a good card too, the 3080 using what I assume is a similar cooler received positive reviews.

I am led to believe from end user feedback that the cooler on TUF series cards this time round is very good and thus allows high boost clocks and cool running.
