Which RAM?

I was in the process of picking out new parts to upgrade my computer when my current build decided to not display anything on monitors after a restart. I have just ordered a MsI x570 tomahawk and a ryzen 9 5900x I also got a RM850 PsU. I will check the ram I already have when these new parts arrive but ultimately I will be looking to upgrade the RAM also, I’m thinking of going with 32gb 3600+ could anyone recommend some please

If you check the support page via MSI, they normally have a list of approved RAM modules you can use for each motherboard.

1866/ 2133/ 2400/ 2667/ 2800/ 2933/ 3000/ 3066/ 3200/ 3466/ 3600/ 3733/ 3866/ 4000/ 4133/ 4266/ 4400/ 4533/ 4600+ Mhz by A-XMP OC MODE

I use Corsair DDR 4 LPX, solid all round RAM, but there are cheaper modules out there.

Note, 3200 MHz is deemed the most compatible and the price sweet spot for DDR4 RAM
Note two, AMD seem to use DOCP mode for XMP RAM clocking.

After back ber buck Patriot Crucial Ballistix would have quite fast latencies.
Though it's out of stock and slower latency Kingston is more expensive.

For RGB Crucial is far best bang per buck.

The team group is Samsung b die, so if performance is all you're after I'd go with that. The talk on another thread is that the 3200c14 and 3600c16 are basically the same with timings altered etc but I haven't finished reading thread yet...the 3600c16 has been on offer at £199.99 so they may drop price again. Otherwise I'd go for the crucial..they do a non rgb which is cheaper, but it's out of stock at the mo, hence I didn't include it

Brand and Ridiculously Grossly Bloated overpriced.
Such mediocre latency kit should be £50 cheaper.
That Crucial has good emount tighter latencies for clearly less.

It is £70 cheaper elsewhere. The 2*16 rgb vengeance pro 3600c18 available for £149.99, so £38 less than the crucial. I bought it for £160. Yes, I know it's not as good as c16, but it was cheaper, and loosing 5fps on games where av was over 180fps doesn't really bother me...and that's 1080p gaming. At 1440p becomes 1 to 2fps and more gpu bound..and yes, I wanted the rgb. I also wanted all 4 slots filled but didn't want 4*8, so got the 2 slot light enhancement kit for £28 too. 2*16 meant to perform better than 4*8 and also gives scope for expansion, and also better resale value at mo.
Gpu a much bigger factor for fps after all, and as long as you look around and check prices, it's ok ram. Ocuk has great prices for crucial and its team 8 Samsung b die awesome also, but it is more expensive(also wasn't available when I bought). But yes,at ocuk prices, crucial a much better option
