If Lewis can clear Ocon and be within 10 seconds of Max I think he's got this. Those mediums were blistered before. 30 laps is a decent distance.

Are people suggesting Max would've been given a penalty if it went to the stewards? Don't they usually just get told to give the place back during the race so why would it have been any different after a red flag?

Gaining a place by going off the track and rejoining in an unsafe manner are two different things. The former Max gets out of by giving back the place at the restart, the latter Max seems to have gotten away with, and it's put Hamilton behind Ocon instead of in the lead.
