Should this thread be changed to "What are the 40 year old plus gamers playing?"

I preferred 3 over NV tbh (shout-out to Fisto) but yeah 4 may as well not exist for me lol.

I really enjoyed 3. Especially with mods like MMM and ****.
4, despite Tod's determination to train wreck it with destructive non needed updates, is pretty decent with a stack of mods. There can be times when I am happy enough with the Settlements, and the odd side quest.

Vein - watched a few yootoobs and thought it might be something I enjoy, however it's much like DayZ - needs hours putting in that I just don't have time for...

My friend group trying to keep up with the young'ns - we're hundreds of hours into The Finals. It's great fun even when we lose 2 games out of 3.
We're keen to get into Arc Raiders but time is not on our side.

Alternating between The Alters and Banishers on GP.

Both are kind of interesting in their own way, but also have some elements that I find just stop them pulling me in enough to really look forward to playing either.

I think the meaning of the thread is the same whatever it's called - for people who aren't kids, aren't students, have got over whatever games they were addicted to, maybe have kids, probably have a day job, probably slower with limited time.

I think changing to 40 is wrong because it excludes the 30 year olds, but I think we want to include them because they're old now too.

If you really did want separate threads then we're talking about a new thread for an even older age. In that case I'd be thinking of it more as 60+ than 40+ because that's a more significant age difference to justify being worthy of another thread.

I think naming threads by age isn't accurate and there's probably a better way if we think about it. Some examples of ways to identity people without using age: middle aged gamers, retired gamers, gamerdads, old and slow, etc.

Yeah I agree, it's nice seeing it as 30+.

I'm 35, I don't want to look at a 40+ thread because then the impending doom of being 5 years away from being 40 is something I need to actually consider. Instead, I'll pretend I'm still young and not tired all the time from a combination of kids/work/irritating parents.

Jeez... read the room! ;)

Just picked up Ball x Pit, Phantom Brigade, and Dawn of War: Definitive Edition. I'm loving the first two. I haven't tried Dawn of War yet.

I voted no on the poll because I'm 38 next month. I agree with the first paragraph in throwaway's post regarding what the thread represents.

Just got through The Outer worlds 2. I feel it could be a lot better with some minor tweaks. I kinda want to do it again to see if different choices really make a difference
