Watching F1 in the UK via Sky/Now or ‘other’ methods

Like it or not, Sky will never split the sports out to individual items (F1, Football, Darts etc), so the price would never be comparable. It's unfortunate, because I think if they did do that, more people would sign up and the price for F1 alone as an example may be comparable to F1TV.

They do though, to a certain extent with the F1 - I have a subscription to Sky Sports F1 only. I don't get any other Sky Sports channels.

Isn't that a legacy package you can no longer get?
Doesn't look like it.

You need to really be specifically only interested in F1 for it to make sense IMO, given it's £20 for Sky Sports F1 on a rolling contract and £23 for Sky Sports on a 2 year contract (£25 I think for rolling), which contains everything Sky Sports F1 does and football, golf, cricket, rugby, tennis etc.

The only sports I follow are F1 and Ice Hockey (which isn't on Sky) which is why I subbed to Sky F1 this time around.

Except we've already determined that it doesn't because it doesn't contain any of the buildup, the post race analysis and all the other programmes that the F1 channel shows. Sure, it gets you the practise sessions, qualifying and the race itself, but none of the other stuff that comes with the F1 package.

Except it does contain all of that, I watch it all regularly.
How? The other thread where the chap is watching it through main event, or whatever shows how the race can be cut off at the start and has mentioned how it cuts away right at the end. In the main commentary, they even welcome Sky Sports main event viewers right at the race start. I don't understand.

Because I use the Sky Sports F1 channel (not Main Event), which is just one of the many channels included in the full package.

Just because someone on here couldn't figure out how to find the right channel on his Sky Stream box doesn't mean Sky Sports F1 isn't part of the full Sky Sports package.

Ahh OK, it must have changed at some point, thanks. I don't think that F1 was originally included in the basic sports package.

It should cost more for that :-)

I pay £6.99 a month for F1TV which I think is amazing value. I've had this for a few years from memory so didn't realise it had gone up so much. But even so, last time I priced Sky up I think it was more than £50 a month
