Greenlizard0 Premier League Football Thread ** spoilers ** [6th - 8th December 2025]

Honestly, nothing surprises me with this team. If anyone can make the team rock bottom of the league with two points look like they can get a result, it's us. We've been so sloppy on the ball, especially in our own third.

This back three, which I appreciate is in place due to injuries, look scared.
 
Well I was about to come In here at half time and say, this isn't a great performance we are 1-0 up but then they score haha what a surprise.
 
Just abysmal again from United.

No threat up front - no striker again, just a lot of very lost looking players....

Can't hold onto a lead, will do well to end up 1-1 now. Awful awful stuff.

Pathetic - should be going after a Wolves team who are utterly devoid of any confidence - haven't (until 2 minutes ago) scored in nearly 600 minutes but yet United still just sit back and hope something happens.....
 
A few observations.
Fair play to Heaven. I think he's done quite well tonight. A lot of pressure after getting hooked at half time. (written before the goal but couldn't see much he could do)
We are generally too weak in 50:50s. Mount, Bruno, Cunha, Dalot never look like winning a tackle and retaining the ball.
Cunha is trying too hard. Mbeumo is having his 4th poor game in a row.
As @fez says - there is nothing to our midfield play. Casemiro either doesn't want the ball or just gives it away. Fernandes is his usual all over the place
Amorim has to change something quickly otherwise he's going to lose the majority of the fans.
 
Wolves gonna win aren't they!
Edit: I am now on the fence of Amorim IN, but if we lose this, against a side that are pushing to beat that Derby side, Ineos do need to think long and hard about keeping him on. The league is still salvageable, its tight bar the top 2/3 positions.

Let's hope that behaviour changes with a new manager... I suspect not, but time will tell. Certainly didn't change when we went from EtH to Amorim.

Should have put a 10 man Everton to the sword. Should have smashed an abject WHU. Nothing about this is working.
 
I wonder if we can find a manager from a small league who plays a formation that doesn't suit our current squad.

I suggest someone who doesn't play with 10s and really likes wingers.

I don't. I think its just lack of footballing IQ (save a small handful of players) Tonight has showed, we are not running into MASSIVE spaces in the final 3rd, which I am 99% sure, the player with the ball and others can see. Its like, we got da ball boss, wot we do now?

I don't think so but these players are so so poor. The poor bloke must be wishing it was over when he sees these idiots churning this rubbish out. Where I will blame him is his persistence playing Bruno and Cas as his anchoring pair. It just doesn't work as a platform for anything else he wants them to do. He can argue that he doesn't have options but he does, it might not be a better option but at least it would roll of the dice.
