The Playstation end of year wrap up for 2025 is now available if you want to check it out https://wrapup.playstation.com/

I have 554 hours played which is down on previous years. Steam will beyond doubt be my most played platform this year with the Switch 2 in distant third place.

Yeah down to 300 hours for me from last year - but same reason as you with Steam now being my most played platform.

My wrap up confirms 724 hours for me this year across 19 games.

That's up from 532 last year, and 636 in 2023. I'm really surprised. Didn't expect it to be that high.

As with last year, Baldur's Gate 3 has been my main game this year because I replayed it and pumped in another 265hrs. I'm literally just about to do the end game again. I've put in another 150hrs into Elden Ring too - played through SotE in 2024 and then restarted main game again in 2025. I've done that and about to do SotE again!

I've put a scary amount of hours into Elden Ring and BG3 in the last couple of years!

Other mentions are 100hrs into Atomic Heart + 3 DLCs and 80hrs into Blue Prince.

Personally I wouldn't bother with a Pro at this point of the consoles life. I've got a Pro myself but I don't think it has been worth it.
One the big reasons for me to upgrade to the pro was it 2TB of storage space
I already had a 2TB M.2 in my PS5 which was full and it would have cost me a fair bit to of upgraded it to a 4TB one

Could counter that and say, now could be the best time. I think a Sony bigwig said not that long ago the PS5 was only half way into its life, then you have to look at the current bleak outlook of PC parts in particular RAM sky rocketing.
This could all have a massive impact on the console market, could that bring delays to newer consoles?, maybe big price rises on future tech.

I played 9 games in 2025 and 252hrs in total, meagre to some of you.

My issue is not many games hold my attention for long, unless it's really special.

So if I'm reading you right, you spent less than 10 hours gaming this year on your PS5 but still decided to upgrade to a pro?

Bruh.
Be lucky if i even played 10 hours on my PS5 in 3 years :o It one of them items i got it if i need it ;)
I took the top & bottom covers off my PS5 for the first time to clean it to get it ready to sell and there wasn't even any dust to clean was like brand new

It my two Xbox's & Switch that get played all the time in my home. But not much by myself.
