Mass shooting at Bondi beach Australia

Just looks like a generic bolt action hunting rifle, looks like he's got a tactical sight on it rather than magnified scope.

It's hard to tell anymore from that photo.
Google is speculating that it's a Baretta brx1. It looks similar.

It’s not a surprise and it won’t be a surprise the next time it happens. Wonder how those people who filled Sydney Bridge with Palestinian flags ( which would get you arrested the majority of gulf states) are feeling now. Western liberalism is to blame for this.
Western liberalism is far from worthy of blame for this, if anything it's the ideology of far from liberal countries that feed this.

Anyway, RIP to the rising number of victims.

Nonsense.

Crazy people with guns are to blame for this.

Looks like he had a shotgun with him as well for backup, his belt is filled with cartridges. I think the guy who got disarmed was also using a shotgun.

A shot from a .308 at short to medium distance is going to do some pretty significant damage to a person, the damage you could do firing into a large crowd would be large with all the penetration/ricochets. Plus it looks built for speed with the straight pull action so it's no wonder the death toll is sadly so high.

Yup like getting hit by a high speed train. Unless it hits your little finger, any hit to an upper limb your dead. Lower limb if you get help fast you might live.

Police not looking for third offender - as gunmen revealed to be father and son

New South Wales police commissioner Mal Lanyon says authorities are not looking for any more offenders.

The two gunmen are father and son, he says, aged 50 and 24.

The father was killed by police, while the son remains in hospital.

Searches found six firearms were licenced to the 50-year-old and six were found at the scene...

I would say, you gotta be absolutely sick in the head to take out a rifle like that and start shooting people on a beach that were just trying to live their lives.

I don't care what thet believe in or how hard done by the feel, the thought of doing what they did is absolutely sickening, and those people are animals not humans.

I understand the anger behind the sentiment, but as soon as you start dehumanising people… well, you get what I mean. It’s not a good path!

And how is he incorrect? The Australian government along with others have accepted the anti Israel and anti semitic slogans espoused by the left, useful idiots and others calling for "Globalisation of the Intifadah' and "From the River" which we all know. These governments have recognised Palestinian state without all the hostages abducted from Israel being released therefore rewarding terrorism. By not cracking down on this they may not have pulled the trigger but they enabled it to take place by promoting a febrile atmosphere.

Of that, there is no doubt.

Is there no action taken by Israel that you won't defend? Do 157 nations all have blood on their hands whilst Israel remains squeaky clean?

Wikipedia:

As of September 2025, the State of Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 157 of the 193 member states of the United Nations (UN), or just over 80% of all UN members. It has been a non-member observer state of the UN General Assembly since November 2012. This limited status is largely due to the fact that the United States, a permanent member of the UN Security Council with veto power, has consistently blocked Palestine's full UN membership; Palestine is recognized by the other four permanent members, which are China, France, Russia, and the United Kingdom.

There is no excuse for the sort of atrocity that has taken place at Bondi Beach. But it's dishonest to pretend that extremists aren't more likely to have been radicalised by:
