We did stewing steak in onion gravy the other day.
I've just warmed the leftovers up and had it in some nice soft white buns with piccalilli and a wee glass of whiskey.

I haven't had stewing or braising steak in ages. I used to buy it to make a tasty and tender stew (brown it in a pan then give it hours in the slow cooker). Suddenly that sounds like a good idea for a cold winter's evening!

But not today - already got some chicken marinating in yoghurt for this evening.
