TBH even at "only" 240hz there is no noticeable motion blur.
Yes there is, there is loads. 1000hz is where it needs to be to at least come close to eliminating issues with sample and hold.

Any game engines that won't break at 1000fps?

I really want a high refresh monitor as 120hz is starting to feel slow but a lot of games I play break when the frame rate is too high.

You've got a decent amount of margin between 120hz and 1000hz to be fair!

What games are you playing that break when the frame rate is too high? I've seen it mentioned a few times but I've not experienced it with any of the titles I play.

So I don’t really have that problem as I only game at 116fps but games like GTA V and IV, anything on creation engine 1 or 2 like Starfield, L.A Noire has massive issues with lip sync at high framerates.

The main one it would impact that I still play today is Borderlands 2. To be fair there could be other games that could start playing up if you were running at obscene frame rates.

Stay clear from philips monitor for gaming. I was warned on the evina 27" 1440p one that they are prone to over heat and mine did and the glossy screen went all funny.

Phillips can't even make non OLED TV's to save their life these days, so I'd have no hope in a high Hz gaming monitor, unless it's made by someone else

Which model was that? I've found their older monitors pretty decent. But I've not used the newer Evnia. AFAIK Phillips isn't even a company any more in the traditional sense but different companies who can sell their products under the brand - so different models potentially aren't even made by the same company behind the scenes.

I've had an Evnia 34" Ultrawide OLED for a little over a year now and its been spot on, I know a few other people who own the same screen.

Philips are like any other company, they all release varying degrees of good and bad and that's without taking into account luck of the draw in terms of failure rates/manufacturing faults that get missed.
