Trading the stockmarket (NO Referrals)

Just remembered this :)
1% cashback on ISA transfers into Freetrade.

May be useful for anyone considering dumping 212.

And yes, I'm off with remembering that. 500 of cashback is enough even if they introduce a fee for the ISA again within the year clawback period.

Will report back to the thread if I remember.

I see the banks have quietly been climbing - NatWest particularly. Government on the sold shares must be a bit embarrassed now (although you could argue private ownership has forced demand up)

Sector rotation continues it seems, tech getting sold off again with c5% dips on some of the big stuff. The Santa rally might not be happening this year. Trump is due to speak at 9pm ET. I wonder what he will announce next.

Banks making so much money just from arbitrage, they are continually subsidized. JPM going heavy into tech

Rally is based off holidays and its not here yet, Dollar is down on a year view I think market is fine. Roughly the same track as last time Trump was in
Todays high for RR was a weekly average which is hit and sold, volume overhead but also at 1080 which its failed to surpass. Failure to the downside is bullish

I was hoping Vanguard would rebalance VWRP and take some of the US tech out of the top spots. But they only reduced them very slightly :/

It's taking a real hammering.

VWRP just tracks the FTSE all world index. Why would you expect vanguard to be reducing tech and deviate from the index? Your definition of a hammering is also questionable, VWRP is like 5% below ATH, merely a blip...

placed a small bbuy order for rpi at 300 today, not sure if it will get fullfilled. Considering it IPO'd 280, most people couldn't buy until it was at 420 and so far the market high of 766 then it's been down ever since, shows why most people shouldn't look at IPOs.

if it get's fullfilled and I can sell at 420, I would be happy.

Not sure why but ALRT taking a pasting today, I considered jumping on this a week back when it looked like it was going to recover a bit, glad I didn't now.
