and is over priced even at them rates, how does OCUK justify the price they have it at currently ? The card had an MSRP of £2399/£2499 when it came out. The industry really is dead and the never ending silly prices that make no sense anymore.
Seems everyone in the PC components trade wants to go out of business, the same card is available at other retailers for £600-£700 lessand is over priced even at them rates, how does OCUK justify the price they have it at currently ? Ohh well seems this hobby is dead until everyone involved in making and selling these goods get their act together.
Then the so called shortages and so called countries banned from buying these goods.

Seems China can still get 5090s without issues .... and no shortages...![]()
That price is ridiculous. Most expensive retailer in the country by some margin on that. What's funny is that's likely stock that was sat there before prices were going up, so the mark up is just greed, not that they've paid more for it in the first place.
Curious why even they've not bumped the price of Astral's up to similar pricing.
Will be interesting if they arrive. There was much talk(rumour) of only the amount of memory changing this time but I'd have thought Nvidia would have known about likely shortages ages ago. I wouldn't be surprised if they are launched but it'll be same memory for most of the range, just a bit more performance as is usually expected.Super cards are probably DOA
You reason you introduce a new refresh is when either your competitor forces you to because they are catching up, or when you are trying to increase sales due to a slump as its been a while since your latest product launches. Nvidia doesn't have the first issue, AMD is isnt catching up in sales and on the second issue Nvidia already has another solution - cut production by 50% so they sell wafers to data centres
Since the 3090 days I have realized that buying the best card for the best price at launch, and then sitting pretty for 2 years enjoying max gaming performance, is the best strategy. I will keep doing that until it's no longer practical to do so.

My first GPU was the 3080. I got super lucky - 1) I got one at launch, and 2) it was only 10-15% slower than the flagship 3090. Since then i've turned into an Nvidia sheep and bought a 4090 and 5090.What you must have missed was getting a 3080 for less than half the price was a much better strategy. With the money saved, a 4090 would have cost you a hell of a lot less![]()
Couldn't agree more. As someone who primarily plays FPS games at 200+ fps, cloud gaming is the last thing I want to experience. Even if the server was within the same city, the latency will be horrible versus native hundreds of fps. They'll never get me on cloud gaming, I've tried it and latency sucks. I'd rather quit gaming than be forced to play on the cloud
