Refund, yes they've had the opportunity to to repair 3 times and failed.

Ask for a refund.

And how much of a refund are you going to get on a 4 year old TV?

(at this point in time, getting it properly fixed, and being able to have another few years out of it is probably "worth" more than the small amount of a refund that you will get accounting for the "use" that he has had out of it)

It's been a while (mine got resolved on the first fix) but don't they try to repair it so many times then if still faulty it gets replaced with a like for like item if no longer available?

In the "good old days" then yes JL would go above and beyond to resolve - these days I wouldn't count on it.

It should be about 30% or JL give you an equivalent T.V. which will be around the same amount as a refund.
I had a first gen flat screen Toshiba that could not be fixed. They offered me £200 or a replacement telly, but as the prices had dropped it was a low end tv.

They used to great so after that episode last but one TV I bought was from Richer Sounds that also went wrong and could not be fixed, it cost around £600 i got £240 back and sold the tv on small white line in the middle, I got about £70 for it.

It's a shame you can never get the brand right - VonHaus :D

For Gods sake! Every time! I'm going to have to get it tattooed or something :P
Put it on my tombstone?
Tell your boss, I'm sorry, once again ;)

It's probably a motherboard issue. I would try and ask for a an instore voucher refund and see if you can top it up and get a newer TV.

I just had my LG CX screen replaced last week, with the power supply board being replaced back in April this year. The small motherboard is the only original piece left. JL warranty has been great seeing as my 5 years runs out tomorrow. Hopefully they can be as helpful to you, after 3 repairs there can't be much of your original TV left either.

At richer sounds mine was actually past the 5 year mark which I wasn't aware of at the time when I contacted them, they still gave me an equivalent TV in replacement, they now have my loyalty for anything electrical for life.

Was that recently though or in the distant past, I`m sure I read somewhere that they give you a % of value refund if that is the cheapest option for themself
