Consumerism 2026 - What's on your shopping list?

A 16GB GPU to complete my PC or a Steam Frame.
I also want to spend more this year on short breaks, rather than things to entertain me at home.
Went to Gran Canaria for a four-day adventure this year. But it was less of an adventure and more a 'learning experience'
when I scraped and knocked up the hire car quite badly :D
A VR headset would be awesome though, wanted one for ages.

The last one...

Where will you use it? And how far can you go?
We've got a mooring in Eastney - friends are buying our old rib (24' Renegade, twin Mariner 300s).
New boat will have twin V6 Yamaha 350s, with two 450L tanks. Range depends on how quick we go...

Trafficking immigrants lol
Gotta pay the upkeep somehow...

We'll use it throughout the year - Dad's ex Navy & RNLI, he volunteers as a safety boat at a local sailing club whenever they race, we pop over to the IOW when the weather's decent, last year we had a fantastic view of the NYE fireworks in Cowes & Gunwharf (bloody chilly though - new cabin boat will mean we can ditch the thermals & dry suits).

We've always spent summer on the water one way or another - sailing is obviously cheaper, but far slower. Not grimacing whenever we fill the tanks will make a nice change, although 45 knots will empty them pretty quickly, so I'll be keeping a close eye on Dad's throttle control.

Litre bottles of Southern Comfort to remain on offer for the whole year and not just near Xmas;)

You want to get a Costco account and have it delivered to you - https://www.costco.co.uk/Grocery-Household/Grocery-Delivery/Southern-Comfort-1L/p/24798

You are limited to 6 x 1 Litre bottles but, even with delivery it works out at £17.33 per litre ... I took delivery of 6 last week :D

Even better for me given we have the stupid Minimum Unit Pricing up here so the lowest a litre of SC can be sold for is £22.75 (65p per unit MUP and 35 units in a litre). Because I buy it online, I get the same price as England and circumvent the MUP

Bought my dream car a couple of years ago, realised it didn't make me any happier. Had a massive breakdown. Realised nothing material matters. Happy Xmas.
