David Walliams - It's always the ones you most expect.....

If they are willing to drop someone who's sold 60 million + books then I assume they know something we don't.
This is pretty much it to me.

That puts him in probably the top few percent of authors in the country, if not the world for total number of books. To drop him means they're losing out on any money from new books he writes, and likely any existing books as soon as those contracts run out or move to a different format.
Publishers tend to put with a lot of bad behaviour from top authors, as they're the ones who tend to keep the company going and allow them to take risks on newer authors, it's pretty rare for them to drop someone who is doing well in sales (it's usually the other way round).

One thought that did pass my mind, was that if it is what it sounds like the publisher may be worried about any future promotional tours etc, if they've had an issue in relation to younger staff it's a minefield for them when he goes to do things like book signings where the author is often paired up with a younger member of staff to help look after them, and a lot of bookstore staff are younger women.

I’m inclined to agree with that but would like to see hard facts first before passing judgement. It’s too easy for the rags and Tiktok culture to destroy someone life over headlines.

I’m not a fan of the chap, he’s a bit odd but can’t deny his talents.

I don't know what it takes these days - some people seem to get off scot free. Look at Chris Evans - among other things he waved his wonger in a lesbian's face and said "Bet it's been a long time since you've seen one of these".

As somebody else pointed out - it must have somthing to do with how much he is worth.

He is exactly the type of bloke, popular light entertainer, hangs around with other types, Simon Cowell etc....

Did you get banned before or just ask to have your account deleted?
Could have iterated to keef248

Been wondering that for months

Yeah I don't know the methods used behind 'deleted user' or 'removed-user', but it's 100% the same person, which makes me think requested rather than banned, as there has been zero attempt to disguise trademark rants and BMW posts lo (referencing same car etc)
