Not looking to upgrade my PC just yet, I'll wait until the end of next year for the new AMD/Intel CPU's and go with whatever is the best for gaming then along with a Nvidia 6x9x GPU.

But I'm still feeling the itch to upgrade something, my Asus P279Q is still running great but with more games coming out supporting HDR I'm thinking now might be the time to go with an OLED and the XG27AQWMG is seemingly well priced. Is it worth getting the XG27AQWMG or am I better of waiting until next year and maybe jumping to 4K?

Does anyone on OCUK have one of these monitors, what's your thoughts on it for gaming (reviews are all positive so far as I've seen) and general work use, how sharp is the text etc?
 
With Jan not far off you maybe worth waiting until CES event has been and see if there is any new announcements for monitors and features for them.
 
@ED209 Damn you and your sensible suggestions, I'd forgotten we're near CES and likely to see more displays announced, guess I'll leave it another month or so and see what's coming.
 
I think LG have recently hinted there's a Tandem-WOLED Curved 39" 5K2K (5120 x 2160) coming.

I'm hoping there's a flat 32"/27" 4K option, I think most people would be after that.

This is true of all things, not just tech. In this instance I tend to agree, waiting until after CES might be the best bet. This monitor does interest me, but I’m also tempted by a 4K OLED 27” setting me up for the eventual upgrade to a RTX 6xxx or what ever replaces the 5090’s.

Glossy panel (although not averse to matte)

USB-C with 90w PD
