It's a bit hot tonight - it's half past midnight here and 27°C, with a feels like temp of 32 degrees.

Just had an MRI. Forgot how claustrophobic and noisy they are. It's also remarkably uncomfortable as you can't move for a good 10-15mins per scan.

I've had a few MRIs and they do freak me out and humble me quite a bit... as if I'm suddenly stepping into a piece of space ace technology, far beyond my comprehension.

Had a CT a couple of years ago, properly freaked out when I started feeling the dye running through my body(radiographers must’ve had a right laugh in the staff room that day).. can’t imagine how I’d be in an MRI, fair play to anyone who can handle them :D

I don't give blood to feel good really but because I feel it's the right thing to do, but when you get a message like this and you may save a kid's life it does have an impact (especially as a father).

I’m also a donor, and had that exact message for that hospital..

But, as a Dad of a now 14yr old lad who had Cardiac surgery at that hospital 12 years ago, thank you :)

Hope he's thriving :)

For some reason, even though I haven’t heard this song, probably in about 20 years or more, this just popped into my head today, totally unprompted.

Can’t say I particularly liked the song when it was out in the late 90’s either. Isn’t it weird how your brain can just dredge up a random memory at times?

@Freefaller nice one. I signed up 3 years ago and ive not had the call yet. Hope i never do, not because I dont want donate but I hate the thought of someone needing it.
Well if it means you can help someone as sad as it is, at least you're doing SOMETHING regardless of what happens. Thank you for sharing - whilst I will never change the world, if I can help someone live a little longer or transform someone's life by a bit of discomfort or effort then it's worth it. I'm a healthy person so I feel duty bound to help those that I can. :)

I remember the MRI I had. I went from feeling like I was about to have a panic attack due to the volume and persistence of the thumping to falling asleep and the next thing I knew was I was being pulled out of it. :o

Crazy in the shops even at 7am this morning. Quickly grabbed what I needed and shall now be staying in!
Did the Christmas food shop the other day, but had to go into Sainsbury's yesterday afternoon to grab a couple extra things and it was absolute madness in there. Definitely not going there today!
