Noteworthy Cars for Sale [Appreciation Thread]

Someone's stuck a fairly nice car to these Diablo headlights:

Urgh naff fairy lights in the Diablo headlights as well.

Other than that, I quite like it

Diablo headlights

Lamborghini put a carbon fibre visor, over the top part of the headlight where it says 'Nissan'

Nice, seeing the prices they now fetch makes me regret having sold mine , but I guess that was a decade or so ago !

283,961 miles in one of those.....
Don't see a problem. I absolutely adore the S1 Elise and would be happy to daily drive one again. I did for a year and did about 12k in it before it had to be handed back. Admittedly, it was many years ago now and I was significantly younger.

I suspect the reliability mods for the K series have been done, or it's gone through MANY head gaskets. ;)

There's no problem, impressed a car like that can rack up so many miles. I see those figures and think of an old workhorse.

Elises are pretty simple. Most of the consumable parts are off the shelf from other makers, and the driveline is K series or Toyota depending on model year.
They get very good fuel economy too, north of 40mpg.

The only downside is back pain and perhaps noise. :D

As we don't really have a more suitable thread for general car chat - seems to be an increasing number of sellers on Auto Trader, and it must be costing them some money, listing and relisting vehicles still long after they've sold or vehicles that at least going by their website they've never actually had in stock, often with the number plate covered up by dealer logo plates in the pictures. Some may be scams but most seem to have genuine dealer info/links, not sure what is going on but I can only assume to try and capture interest and then attempt hard sell.

'Come down and see it, yes we still have it in stock!' Arrive on site, 'Sorry thst car has sold, but we have all of these other cars for me to try and sell you!'?

Peugeot 406 anyone?

Surely with such a high caliber car they would offer up more than three photos. Was wanting to see the plush interior.

Probably terrible in person, but from those photos most people won't know to look at from a distance. Start it up and game is given away or get up close. :D
In fairness my 360 was pretty reliable, never any issues but servicing cost are high due to age, be much cheaper with a Peugeot running gear, maybe as the car its based on is also old and probably needs work too.

People band the word "replica" around far too readily, it is a tribute, not a replica. :p

And the title and description claiming repeatedly that it is a 1:1 replica is so cringeworthy, its extremely obvious that isn't true... Just look at the A pillars and roofline...
