Hi Gang

Our friends at Lian Li have announced their brand new SX Series Platinum PSU range today!

Arriving in early 2026, the SX Series is a fully modular PSU that delivers high efficiency, and reliable performance for today’s demanding systems.
Featuring 80 PLUS Platinum certification up to 92% efficiency and full Intel ATX 3.1 compliance, each supply in the range is equipped with a native PCIe Gen 5.1 12V-2x6 pin connector for next-gen GPUs and multiple PCIe 6+2 connectors for accessories.

A 120mm low-noise FDB fan with Zero RPM mode below 40% load keeps cooling quiet and efficient, while 100% Japanese capacitors, a high-amperage single +12V rail, and comprehensive protections ensure long-term stability. Compact, fully modular, and backed by a 10-year warranty, the SX Series is built for enthusiasts who expect both performance and reliability.

the real stand out for me on these products is the level of quality and high performance features for the price. I have a feeling these will be extremely popular.

Helly was the oem for the Edge series so maybe they have done these as well. The pricing is extremely keen for Platinum rated psu's with even the 1200w only at £139.99, that's way cheaper than any other platinum rated 1200w unit. Just need to see some reviews now.

these models are Zhong Yuan Power. They do use Helly for a lot of their models. The stock is a while away yet so plenty of time for reviews to be established.

Never heard of them but on looking them up their own psu's seem to be ok. I wonder if these are a modified version of the OEM's GX series? I just noticed the specs, 140mm deep even with the 1200w model, that's great.

Sorry I missed that, @Rob_B
expecting the initial wave of these to be late Jan at the earliest. Potentially Mid Feb.

Really depends on how much impact we get from Chinese New Year

Yeah the depth is what I need to watch for with my case. And usually with most PSUs the length takes a jump when you start to go above the 1000W models. My case max PSU depth is 180mm but you have to think about the cables and how tight they become before you get anywhere near that. 140mm is spot on.

Installed the SX PLatinum 1200W, no issues, the braided cables were nice to work with, unfortunately I could not wait for stock to arrive here. It's a bargain at £138 IMO.

@rjk is there any update as to when these will arrive yet? I have the SX PLatinum 1200W on pre-order and it's the only thing on the order that is not in stock. A Lian Li AIO was also on pre-order, but that is now in stock on the website from today.

They are looking likely to be mid/late Feb at this point. Chinese New Year has unfortunately played a big part in delaying this line as well as a host of other products I manage.

If you need something pronto, please let me know via PM and I will offer some alternatives that may work for you.

Thanks, I just rang up and swapped to the FSP Hydro PTM PRO 1650W. I saw your recommendation for the brand on in the announcements section, and they have a good rating in the PSU tier list spreadsheet

ah great choice. that is a beast of a supply for sure.
let us know how you go on with it!
Glad you're sorted out and apologies again on the delays with the initial product order.

I will report when I've performed the major organ transplant surgery on my PC. I'm ditching a custom full loop in a Phantek Enthoo Premium, which includes an RTX3080 (which I'll have to put cooler back on to sell).
Swapping to the Lian Li Lancool 217 Inf, their new AIO with the square screen, and an Aorus Master 5090 that I received from OCUK a few weeks ago.

It'll take me a while just to write down my optimised bios settings for curve offset, ram timings and so forth. I don't want to risk losing the hours of work getting that stable.

It's a very nice PSU, the build went pretty well. Only draw back is it uses a different type of mains cable, so I couldn't mount it sideways in my case. It didn't really matter though.
