Did the Christmas food shop the other day, but had to go into Sainsbury's yesterday afternoon to grab a couple extra things and it was absolute madness in there. Definitely not going there today!
We went to Morrisons yesterday around 1pm and it was busy not not chaos, and everyone being fairly nice!

All the veg had run out along with the prepared Christmas sides, so I popped to Aldi for sprouts and they still had everything. Just checked my bank statement - 5pm on my debit card :P

Heading into town for a Christmas sandwich today - wish me luck

Yeah to be honest, I say absolute madness in Sainsbury's yesterday, but it was just mad busy, no drama. Not like last year on Christmas Eve where there were people fighting over parsnips, though maybe they are there today as it's Christmas Eve - I have no interest in finding out

All veg was gone though. I'm glad I did the full Christmas shop the other day. Only needed random bits yesterday like kitchen roll.

Ooooh enjoy the sandwich and good luck! I hope you make it back home :p

I'm sitting here watching Twitch, reading the forum knowing that I need to drag my body off to Asda for a few bits and bobs. Luckily it's open til 7pm so I can see in a session of Dome Keeper before going.

Looking for yellow labels?

I'm nearly ready for tomorrow, except for the tidying, wrapping presents, preparing dinner, writing out cards to family and clearing space for 3 tiny terrors to unwrap their presents.

On the plus side I've just put up Santa and his slieigh, santa with a big pole, a snowman, gingerbread man and santa claws inflatables outside the rear living room window ready for the terrors.
In about 15 minutes I've got to go and try and set up the reindeer light things, but first i'm taking a breather and having a drink.

Just going to bring the presents down to put in front of the tree and TV, due to space issues. All the tedious veg prep done for tomorrow, just the spuds to do while the family wake up.

Going to get a hot chocolate and watch the second episode of Fallout S2 afterwards.

All prep done!

I now sit here contemplating life choices, whilst wearing bright blue Christmas penguin pyjamas (which the other half bought for our whole family to wear Christmas morning as its ’cute’…).

I look like nothing less than a ******* :-D

My WiFi download speed has crashed this last two weeks. Am regularly getting sub 3Mb per second, for hours at a time. ATM am using phone data connection instead. Will need to complain to my ISP - I pay $115 per month for 750Mbs speed.

Turkey went in at 10.55, 160C oven, all veg prep done two sorts of stuffing balls to do and brown the sausages. Roast potatoes and parsnips to go in next at 12.30.

Eat at 13.30.

At an Airbnb in Wakefield near pinderfields ( due to a last minute cancellation somewhere else ) prepping veg , luckily a twin oven for us non meat sorts, liver getting a good thrashing

Just woke up from an hour's nap... Think Ive got a COVID like flu, had it since yesterday but today it's hit me for 6 :( feel so bad for the kids bless them, only napped but they've been quietly playing with new stuff

Sat weighed down by a hearty Christmas dinner. Pretty good going today - first time at home with my partner and not visiting family. Got up on time, went for a drive with the roof down, ate chocolate, played some games with a mate and had dinner. Partner cooked using the oven and hob I installed 2 days ago, I sliced the meat and served. Can't complain!

It was bloody perfect. 10/10 best sandwich I ever had. I shall go back on the 29th to see if they've any turkey left for another one. And the roads were peaceful, we even stopped into Aldi for some extra treats!
