Well I fell down the custom keyboard world.

Assuming someone has created a UK ISO geared json file to import for VIA then I guess it should be alright as can then load up the correct config, this is delving deep in the custom build realm though as bit of faff is needed. There is a web driver via Edge/Chrome but it doesn't always work at authorising the USB device with this keyboard like it does on all other web driver boards I have used this year so maybe it's a bug or something.

Wobkey won't have the json as the ones they provide are obviously ANSI only for the Crush 80.

Just got a Keychron K4 HE 96%, coming from a 6 year old Corsair K65 and the difference is night and day, the K65 is very good and served me well but this feels so nice. Need to get used to the layout but think I could get used to it very quickly. I like the web based software but think I would also like to adjust without having to plug in a usb cable, doesn't seem to be an option over wireless.

Just ordered a Keychron Q3 barebones with Keychron keycaps and Duroc sunflower switches. I want to get an HE keyboard for gaming so going to have this keyboard for work.

I’ve been using a Corsair K65 for about 11 years. It’s so old it’s got the tramp stamp on it…

You really should!...

Not that I'm tempted to go that way, but been waiting to see it!

Still waiting on the perfect 100% ISO solution... (quality - i.e. Alu base, QMK/VIA, hotswap etc....)

It is still shrink wrapped!

What is putting me off is lubing the stabs, which is silly because there are only like 5 or 6 of them!

I have the Keychron Q1 too, no wifi, not HE. Just wired. No worry about battery pillowing down the line. It is my main keyboard at home.

I also have the Q2 Pro (wireless), it has the exact same switches and I put down the same foam layers inside with the same tape mod. I prefer the Q1's sound marginally, I think its because the size of the casing that resonates nicer to my ears.

Yeah I also have a Q1 V1, which came under a lot of fire for case ping, so I got it for £60 barebones, but it's a 5 pence 5 minute fix. With Oil Kings and SA keycaps it sounds like buttered marbles, (if such a thing exists :D )

Keychron perhaps aren't the cheapest, sexiest or most innovative boards, but they're generally practical and nicely designed, and when choosing from my collection I find myself gravitating towards them.

Got a Lemokey p1 he for xmas and moving froma a Corsair k70 (2017) and the typing experiance is so much better. Need to still do some setting changes to get it right but really happy with the purchase.

Got another hall effect keyboard arriving tomorrow, the Chilkey Slice75. Was tempted by either the 60HE v2 or 80HE from Wooting - but I've got my 60HE already modded a fair bit and I don't think I'd benefit from the other features you get with the 60HE v2.

At least with the Slice75 it'll be something new and in my preferred 75% layout too. I'm hoping the typing feel closer matches a regular mechanical board so I can stop swapping between my Neo 75 Cu for work/typing and my 60HE for gaming and just stick to a single board.

I got a K4 HE 96% for Christmas and it's amazing but some of the keys keep failing to respond so it has to be returned, but now know what a great keyboard feels like and now may need to look at something similar. Possibly a HE again and maybe a 100% or tenkeyless, I had a Corsair K65 so used to that size as well. I'm in no rush so can wait for sales but back to research. Any suggestions to keep an eye on or check? I'm getting £120 back for this so maybe up to £150 as I think that's probably my limit

I've recently purchased a K1 QMK version 6 with banana switches. It's a TKL board.

Build quality seems great so far and although the switches take a bit of getting used to, I'm enjoying it more now that I've been using it for a couple of weeks. It's also a low profile board which I much prefer over the usual format. All-in-all I'm pleased with it and it's much better than the Akko board I had before it.

yes I'm sure its my fault for buying Razer but my 'a' on the V3 Huntsman Pro is squeaking (2 months old), any idea how to fix it without going through some warranty process. In the meantime, I decided I don't like using it for typing so looking to get an additional KB for working. Something not so loud for starters

I think i will replace the Nuphy halo 65 at work with something else, fancy a change...not sure what yet though and don't want to spend Q2 money and definitely not QK Alice money.

Take the keycap off, see if you can take the switch out (pretty sure the v3 huntsman pro is hotswap?) and have a look to see if the squeek is coming from the switch itself. If it is, you can potentially just replace that individual switch with Razer (either switch RMA or buying one from someone) - or you could swap the switch with another key on the keyboard that you don't use that much/ever. I'd probably just end up doing that, how often do you use the 'Scroll Lock' key? Probably a lot less than the A key!

Excellent advice. Will test that in a minute.

Deffo the switch, now got a squeaky 'end' instead (TKL), though now 'a' feels different. Seems ok until I put the cap on.
edit: Hadn't pushed it down far enough.
