Anyone have the Evercade console yet?

Was looking to buy one of these just to play Galaxians again but was wondering if anyone owns one yet to know how good it is, seems pretty cheap so not expecting a great screen.
 
I've got one but with being back to work I havnt had a chance to play a huge amount, the screen is the same size as the psp I think? The emulation seems solid, nice sound and decent quality build. I'm a big fan of the physical side of it and the little manuals you get with each cart. For the money I would recommend it.

I watched a couple of youtube videos where they break down the emulation quality ect
 
There was a couple of good reviews up for them. Mostly they are a bit pricey but meant to be pretty decent. Has been some offers on the collection with all the games so would keep an eye out for that!
 
i keep seeing evercade stuff come up more and more
and i am tempted , the games i used to enjoy on the arcades are on this

anyone got one and use it often?
 
I only got one recently (recently as 2 days ago from the posting of this message) and the only gripes I've had are the lack of a PSU in the box (thankfully, I had a suitable unit that provides enough amps to power the console without issues), using USB micro B for power (although I'm not a fan of type C either considering I've had more broken type C cables then I have micro B), the lack of modern Wi-Fi standards (2.4 Ghz might be enough for the odd firmware update, but who just uses old standards in this day and age) and the fact that you have to completely remove power from the console when you turn it off to be able to turn it on the next time you want to use it.

As for gameplay, I haven't had any issues in my brief run of tomb raider, although I did pick up a second cartridge so I'll be able to see how it handles amiga games when next I have it set up.

there seems to be different console options, which one have you got ?
 
Most of these Evercades end up on Marketplace or CEX.. Don't get a lot people talking about it other than from the developers on Twitter
 
Blaze has taken some older carts out of circulation, they make out like Evercade is for collectors but if you get into it now you may have to go to the second hand market to get some of the carts you want.

Plus the cartridges are just SD cards in a case which isn't ideal for the long term.
 
I've picked one up recently, just for the collection side of things. Some of the out of print carts have rocketed in price. I do like the concept, and I guess some games are going to hold their value.
 
Had the EXP handheld for a couple of years now and about 16 cartridges for it. Pretty good little system and recently some grewt new carts including SNK and others. The Arcade counterpoint they do is pretty nice too and works with all carts.
