What bike did you learn to ride on?

On the road my first bike was a Kawasaki KM100 in 1984 at 14 years old.
Then an X7 250cc when i turned 16, Which didn't last long so i bought a DR400 which also didn't last long so next was MTX200

These days 14 year olds are only allowed a 50cc bike and think it now only up to a 125 at 16 years old.
Where back in my day it was 100cc at 14 and unlimited cc at 16

One of my mates had a GPZ1100 at 16

You Guernsey nutters still allowed quad bikes also? :D

My first bike was a CBF125, but it was the Kawasaki ER6F that taught me how to ride. A beginner friednly bike and very forgiving!

I learnt to ride on a mates Suzuki TS50 back when I was abut 15 in the squash club car park. Then was given an SS50 which was what I learned to ride legally on-road. I don't think you ever stop learning to ride and that's after 40 years in the saddle.

CBT on a CBF125, then owned a CG125.

DAS on a Honda Hornet 650(?), then on the morning of my test got put on a brand new CB-650F with no warning - still passed

I assume Blades' your go to place? Got my first bikes off them when they were Knotts in Western Road. :)
(I live near Stratford)

I learnt to ride offroad at about 13 years old in the mid 90s on an old RM80 a little like the below but mine was well battered and bruised. I would love to get a licence and ride on road but the other half gives me the lecture of "you'll die"

This was back when I was Reading based, went through Lightning Motorcycle School - but they get all their bikes from Blades Swindon - so still correct in a roundabout way !

Well technically I learnt on a NVT 175, but really I learnt to ride by sneaking out my dad’s commando. Oof if he had bought me…
