What TV shows are you currently watching

I decided to buy the Miss Marple box set so have been working my way through since Christmas Eve.

They can be pretty creepy moments at time which I wasn't expecting! Lol!

It used to be a family favourite when I was a child so although I don't remember any of them, it's like taking a trip back through time.
Is this the 1984-1992 show, or the 2004-2013 show?

I saw a glimpse of the 1984 show a while ago and was wondering whether I should watch it. I love an Agatha Christie murder mystery!

after catching up with landman season 2, i need a new series to start, im thinking the wire or tulsa king, any other reccomendations ?

Yes, it's the 1984 with Joan Hickson.

I couldn't watch the later ones with anyone other than her.

I still have no idea how she manages to find the killer/killers despite me paying close attention!

They're great though. :)

Fallout - S1 - 60/100

Only got 2 episodes into fallout first time watching it.
But I'm stuck at home with little to do so decided to watch it.

Still don't like the comedic tone. But it dies down a bit as series goes on.

So many plot holes/weird decisions. Unrealistic character choices etc.

Its watchable.. Just. But only as I like the theme.

Not much good fantasy out there at the moment

fallout season 1. Boring •••••.
Yeah I am watching it due to not much to watch, being on annual leave, and not having much else to do.

I know what I hoped for... And what it is? Not what I expected.

Station Eleven

A kind of end of world story although it focuses on the people rather than the end of world after the first episode, with flashbacks to the past.

Good so far.

Finished Leonard and Hungry Paul. Small comedy drama about two friends doing mostly everyday things. It is a lovely simple story told very well - narrated by Julia Roberts. Jamie-Lee O'Donnell is becoming a versatile good actor.
Enjoying the slow, quirky, upbeat nature of this too. Feels American but set in Ireland. Balances out the other stuff we’ve been watching.

Fallout has stuck very closely to Bethesda's Fallout, it even looks identicle. It's been mostly good so far tbh.

Usually TV shows/movies based on games suck. But that might have been because historically, Uwe Boll kept buying the rights to make them lol

Down Cemetery Road.

Thought the last 2 episodes were pretty rubbish. 6/10 overall maybe.
Ah, I was going to start on that after the latest series of Slow Horses. I take it that it doesn’t hold a candle to it, even though it’s by Mick Herron too? I think I read it’s based on his first book series?

Yeah it's based on his first book. It doesn't have the same humour and the 'mystery' doesn't really hold up throughout the eight episodes. The last two episodes felt like a series of ever increasingly more implausible scenarios. Season 2 coming as well somehow.

That’s a shame. I’ll keep it on the backlog for now then and go for Stranger Things and the IT series instead! :)

Binge watched first series of Patience.

Hadn't heard of ti until I saw trailer for season 2 on Channel 4. It's actually pretty good. Well acted and decent story lines.

Started watching Absentia last night. About an FBI agent who goes missing, presumed dead then 6 years later is found. Pretty decent first few episodes.
