Steam sale now .... Off

Picked up Hands of Necromancy 2 and Wrath: Aeon of Ruin.

I already have Hands of Necromancy (1) on another platform, and although it would be the obvious choice to have them both on the same account,
it was slightly better value on Steam. Easy to pick and play old-school FPS that use the GZDoom engine, IIRC.

And for what will be my last purchase I think, picked up Divinity Original Sin 2. Cheap and I’m sure I’ll get something out of it. Will wait until BG3 is cheaper before I purchase it again for PC, and for when I have fewer games to play.

Tried to get some different games with my usual £75 gift vouchers this year :

Space Marine 2 for £22 - not my usual thing but having some fun with it;
The Outer Worlds Spacers Choice for £12 - again not my usual thing but the humour/cynicism appeals;
No Man's Sky for £20 - seems to have now become the game it should have been so might be fun for super casual stuff;
Tempest Rising for £20 - superb "successor" to the C&C series, really excellent.

Started playing the wolf among us so went on a buying spree of Telltale games, Batman collection, Walking dead complete, the Expanse, already have the GOT and Tales from the borderlands.
On a separate note Wolf among us 2 is coming to Epic, no release date yet

I’ve gone ahead and brought Everspace 2, FTL and Divinity 2. I’d say non of them are my usual type of game but I thought I’d branch out and see how they’re, all 3 around £17

Three top games there.

Been looking after the pennies a bit this sale (well apart from the 9070XT...)

From Steam bought

Ayahuasca

Fancied something very different to check out

From Loaded @ £4.19

Still Wakes the Deep

And Resident Evil Village as could not resist at £4.99 again at Loaded

I intend to check that one out after I finish 7 using the VR mod

Currently playing Still Wake the Deep as of last night. Really got it's hook in and must admit really enjoying it. The setting has got me as you really do feel isolated on that oil rig! I will finish that one tonight as gather its around 4 hrs long.

On the fence re Walkabout Mini Golf VR

Been after it for a while but will make my mind up next weekend on that one. Looks great in any case.

On my side, three copies of Green Hell, three copies of Peak, Project Planet - Earth vs Humanity, Divinity: Original Sin Source Saga to get both both first and second games - biggest bargain of the Steam sale for me - and an extra copy of DOS1 for my son so we can play together.

Green Hell - good fun learning the mechanics and trying to survive with three of us online together until we realised the cannibals came after us but didn't appear on the others screen, seems to be a bug that was never fixed from what I see others reporting online. Will try setting up a game without cannibals if possible as surviving seems to be difficult enough
Peak - really big success with my three teenagers playing together on multiple sessions with lots of shouting and laughing, such a good price as well
Project Earth - another success, a few evening sessions playing on the big TV with Moonlight, five of us connected on their phones and once we'd worked out the mechanics, good discussions and fun as a family (non gaming wife included here)
Divinity Original Sin 1 - playing with my 16 year old son is good fun, with enjoyable exploring and some fun battles, haven't touched the second game yet

Grabbed:
(the) Gnorp Apologue £2.85
Planet Zoo £3.49
NieR Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition £11.99

Should keep me going for a while. Spent over 4hours in Gnorp Apologue just in first launch of it :D
The start of NieR is a gaming highlight.

I didn't finish the game.

However, mans, what it does well is outstanding.

The soundtrack imo is top 10 of the generation to boot. I listened to the music before even playing the game, utterly amazing.

Ive read enough to get me excited to play it, not my normal style of gaming but did finish expedition33 and Tales of Arise this year so hopefully can get into it!
