What did you get for Christmas?

I got a beanie with built in head torch too :D

I have sight issues so my stepdaughter thought this would be great if I am walking at night, lol. I already carry a pocket torch with me.
Where we live is quite remote so I use a head torch already, but over a beanie.

This combines both and was something I was looking for!

In laws bought me a butcher's block which was lovely and used on Christmas day. Wife gave me a pair of Thursday boots, a new flannel shirt and will be taking us to the Hand and Flowers in a couple of weeks time. Very excited for that.

Thoroughly enjoying the transition to middle age and the change in gifts.

Logic puzzle.
Bottle of rum.
Boot mud scraper.
Low profile ratchet screwdriver.
Lamy fountain pen.
Honeycomb.
Light weight travel trowel.
Picture of my siblings and I at sisters wedding.

What gin?

Which one? And did you get some ink as well?

Vista Safari. Yes, got an ink cartridge that came with it. Great to write with, nice and smooth. Reminds of what I used to write with at school :

The take forever to ship, so don’t have it yet… trying to keep my expectations low but it’s difficult lol
I sympathise. If I’d spent that much on a set of headphones I wouldn’t be able to contain myself. Have you heard them before? Or going Off reviews? That’s a hell of a commitment

Just going off reviews, they are sold only direct from their site from the US. There is a distributor in Europe but there is no brick and mortar store to try. The only way to try them in person is once a year there is this thing call Can Jam, a kind of convention where all the headphone and hifi people come together and show off their stuff. But the last one was like 3 months ago in London and I didn't go. Although to get there it would cost me like £100 + with train ticket, food and the ticket to the event.

These were on sale on Black Friday so the price you see on their site now, about 20% off that price....but then I am sure HMRC will ask me for that anyway when it lands.

I got a psyduck (my fav) plush from the Pokemon centre Japan.
Keyboard/screen cleaner too.
Follow the money (book)
Christmas beer t shirt
20 pounds Amazon gift card…

I also have a new BFFL… my great niece would normally cry or run off scared when she sees me. She couldn’t get enough of me over Christmas. The other one didn’t run off when she neither. The third one always liked me as I would feed her.

Finally won a GP in Mario kart… after 4 years of trying.

Backache and headache from playing Mario gamer monopoly with the hyperactive kids..

Edit: it was a really good, quite Christmas after all the havoc of last year when my mum passed away just before Christmas and the funeral was just after new year.
