LG 5120x2160 Ultrawides

Weirdly enough the Ram Kits I bought before the whole prices went up which I never opened or used are now worth double the cost of the monitor.. we live in a crazy world so I guess I could buy this and in theory it would cost me peanuts... but I don't seem to really want it any more.

Monitors are the one tech that always devalue fast..

Loads seem to be happy with it but it wasn't for me.

Sell the ram and pocket the cash for now see what CES brings.

Few hours, tested work use and a bunch of games.

Arc raiders was good on it, but the others and even desktop use the windows icons looked a little blurry? Maybe some odd scaling going on.

Think I'll wait for a 39 but with a less aggressive curve.

TBF it doesn't have the best dpi

I love Reddit. Some of those bros that's said the 45 5k lg was their end game monitor are now saying the 39 looks better with tandem panel etc and that is their true endgame

It's probably got better PPI so not that outrageous

I got an ultrawide for myself for Christmas. I went with a Philips Evnia 49" OLED. The display is glorious.
I came from a 32" Gigabyte 4k screen and while I do miss the height a bit, gaming in ultrawide is incredible.

My only complaint with it is with the Ambiglow backlighting. When running in Gsync and having the Ambiglow follow what's on the screen it flickers when the screen changes refresh rates. So, I either need to disable Gsync or Ambiglow. Not a massive issues as I didn't buy it for the Ambiglow feature but annoying nonetheless.

You are missing my point. The end game changes each year and those that say the 45 is their endgame tend to upgrade each year. The 39 is a far superior version unless you need the extra space for the 45. The 39 has tandem, True DP 2.1 , better DPI.

Those end game bros tend to look down on everything else and now seem upset a better widescreen is coming out.

Oh, I never really thought that phrase was a permanent thing, something better always comes along.
I always just thought it meant best for now
