Star Trek : Starfeet Academy (Paramount+)

I don’t think they’ve ever published them, but it apparently never appeared on the Paramount weekly top ten at any point which is damning for a new show.

The first episode was lived premiered on YouTube and only had something like 1500 viewers watching it.

They literally couldn't give it away for free.

They were hilariously optimistic enough to film season one and two back to back and still ended up canning this immediately after the first finished.

Hopefully this is a wake up call for those up top, kick Kurtzman to the curb alongside the majority of the writing staff.

I found a few details

Initial Reach: Some reports suggest it gathered 2.1M viewers in its first eight days (surpassing Strange New Worlds S2).

YouTube Preview: The free first-episode YouTube stream drew roughly 220,000+ views.

International & Alternate Channels: Performed better on Amazon Channels (peaking at #3 in the US) and has shown top-10, sometimes top-2, performance on SkyShowtime in Europe.

Someone live streamed a stationary image of a Spock action figure which got more views than the pilot.

In reference to the actual live stream:

Live Peak: The livestream maxed out at around 1,300 concurrent viewers.

Total Views: Several days after release, the free YouTube video had accumulated around 159,000 to 233,000 views, with many viewers noting a high dislike-to-like ratio.

Oh no! so no more adult day-care Star Trek...where am I going to get my SCI-FI with main characters who eat things they're not supposed so like toddlers or the dog?

Sad times.

:(

It's insane that theyknow these shows will fail and theystill make them, and on top of that they're now greenlighting 2 series for th sake of content filler, knowing as soon as S1 is finished they will annouce the cancellation.

They know exactly what will happen before they start and still plough on anyway, what is the goal here? because they're not trying to make entertianment that is popular with the audience, and it's not to make money from the show either.

I thought it was to give the tone police something to do...

Strange how didn't complaing about DS9 or TNG.

Or after Picard gave his speech about "measure of a man" Data didn't say "right on jeany dawg, break it down, and to you Bruce Maddox- you can't touch this hot molybdenum-cobalt bod, oh yeah, PSYCHE! you can't touch this" (then does a MC hammer dance)
