DVD screenshots

Is there anyway to get screenshots from a DVD. I need some specific stills from a film for a Uni essay.

Get media player classic or vlc media player and you can take screenshots with them.

I had to play it in through the TV card and take snapshots with Hauppage WinTV. The quality and size was stunning.

Edit: that was about 5 years ago though.

PowerDVD will do it for you as well. Doesn't that come free with most DVD drives?
