If your radiator has 13+ FPI then get decent high RPM fans with high static pressure.
if you have a 10 or lower FPI radiator then grab some 1K RPM or below fans or get some high RPM ones and use a fan controller to limit them.
Re seated the water block and put the 240 radiator in. Topping out at 73c on 1 core @ 4.9ghz with 1.4vcore that bumps up to 1.424v every now and then.
This sound alright?
Okay, i'm now benchiung my i7 @ 1.4v with the SR1 360 with my GTs running at full rpm and i'm hitting 65c...
it is quite warm in this room but thats pretty bad.
Maybe I should've stayed with the XSPC.
Though the SR1 series do like lower rpm fans :/
Will it really be that bad with higher RPM...
I'm going dual loop.
1 loop is for tri sli 580s and the 2nd is just for the CPU and maybe mobo.
How about 1x SR1 360 radiator with tri sli OCed 580s? With the same fans.
Anyone know how a i7 will hold up on its own loop with a Black Ice SR1 240 radtiaor equipped with Scythe Gentle Typhoons @ 1k rpm with fan shrouds?
I know the black ice comes with built in shrouds but they're the wrong side.
I bought this radiator becuase of its low FPI it is the best...
To anyone that has this board or has tried it.
What are your thoughts and opinions on it?
I have waited countless weeks to get hold of a EVGA p67 *** and their Lack of stock on the EU store is just simply atrocious so it looks like i'm going for the more expensive Asus Maximus instead...
I've had both, refunded the Benq after I received a replacement for a faulty one.
I have 2x LG w2363ds now and looking at getting a third. Though windows sometimes doesn't like having multiple 120hz monitors (Get wierd slow downs in something graphical intensive on 1 screen when you start doing...
Gigabyte's boards are absolutely incredible to OC on.
They even have one of the best Overclockers in the world working for them making the boards better at overclocking.
You and I both. I'm moving to triple GPUs now. Getting an EVGA p67 *** for it though. I was going to get the Gigabyte but you can get the EVGA board for cheaper which does the same job.
What did you go for?
You may as well just go Sandy bridge and get a 3 way board. The tiny gain from the 4th card is not worth the problems that could arise from having 4 gpus.
There is the EVGA 4 way SLI x58 board but there really isn't a point in as it's going to get surpassed quite soon (no set date but probably 4-5 months) Which according to rumours will be x79 in 2011.
That board only supports SLI becuase it has a Lucid chipset.
As far as I know there are no p67 boards sporting 2x nf200 chipsets so you cannot 4way SLI on p67. I don't know if it's even possible as my knowledge on that subject ends there.
Most you'll be able to do is 3way on p67. The boards...
Does anyone go about to prevent radiator vibration from fans?
I used to watercool my hafx and had no kind of vibration noise at all but since moving to the 800d which gives the top radiator much more contact with metal I have been getting horrible vibrating from the fans on to the radiator...
