    Razer BlackWidow Replacement?

Thanks to all for the above advice. Ended up going for a Fnatic Gear Rush with Cherry MX Browns. First day using it in anger today and loving the brown keys. Mrs has already commented that it's a lot quieter.

    Razer BlackWidow Replacement?

Thanks Hades this is very useful. How would you compare the feel of the Blackwidow to the G413? I love the heavy tactile feel of the Cherry Blue switches but the clicking drives the wife mad...

    Razer BlackWidow Replacement?

So Cherry still very much the way to go then? I will likely go for Brown over Blue in that case. My main line of thought was whether any of the major manufacturers had managed to replicate or better the cherry switches (eg the Logitech Romer-G on the board linked or Razer's own switches they're...

    Razer BlackWidow Replacement?

I've been out of the loop for a while so looking for recommendations on a keyboard to replace my dying Razer BlackWidow. I've found the Razer to be fantastic for the ~10 years I've owned it with initial gaming use turning into daily office use. The Razer has Cherry Blue keys (the loud ones...)...

    Lightweight Waterproof Summer Gloves

Thanks for the responses all. Reckon I'll go try on both the Celer gloves and those Race-Tex gloves and see which feel more comfy. I've got a pair of perforated gloves for when it's dry, I'm after something for the really wet days when touring. Last year we got caught out in Germany/Austria for...

    Lightweight Waterproof Summer Gloves

I already have Goretex winter gloves but they're far too hot for summer use. I was more wondering if anyone had any experience with anything like the Alpinestars Celer gloves?

    Lightweight Waterproof Summer Gloves

While since I posted in here! Anyone got any recommendations on waterproof gloves that are good for summer when it's warm?

What did you do to your bike today?

Took the Transalp for a quick ride today. First time I've ridden it since the beginning of June! Working from home means I'm no longer using it for commuting and a decent ride for me has to be around 3 hours to cater for getting in and out of London suburbia. Wales trip coming up in a couple of...

    Bike locks.

From what I understand, the main thing to note is that, if declared on insurance, you are expected to lock your bike wherever & whenever you stop. Say you take a casual ride on a Sunday stopping a couple of times for a cuppa. The insurance company will expect you to carry your big heavy chain...

What did you do to your bike today?

It was great again (did the Western Alps on it last year), the power change isn't noticeable to me but then I'm not a particularly fast rider. You'd certainly feel it's lacking after the Aprilia. It is very agile though, certainly has no problems negotiating the hairpins and it's easily comfy...

What did you do to your bike today?

My cousin has put together a video of our trip. 2,000 miles in 2.5 minutes.

Where to go for a cheap 4 day break

I've never camped in the lake district but you can get hotels/B&Bs quite cheap if you stay away from the main towns/villages by the big lakes. Would also save you space on the bike. If you're going with your brother maybe look at a set of soft panniers. Europe could also be a good shout sailing...

Where to go for a cheap 4 day break

Where's home? Scotland, Wales, the Lake District and the Peak District are all generally pretty reachable. You should be fine with a waterproof duffel bag for 4 days so no issues taking an SV, just strap it to the pillion seat. When we did Scotland a couple of years back we picked a central...

    Benelli TNT 600i - opinions?

As above, I'd also recommend avoiding Benelli. They had what looked like quite a promising 500CC Adventure offering but when it went out to review it got slated by everyone! MCN

    Biker's Cafe Chatroom

14 months for driving offences. 14 months for perverting the course of justice. 2 months for carrying a knife (seems low to me but could have been justified I suppose). Can't really argue with that.

    Biker's Cafe Chatroom

That's hilarious but they need educating in bike choice. I'd be very impressed if they'd found an RSV4.

    2017 Alps tour

Agree completely, I'm still glad we did Stelvio even though it was a bit disappointing. I'd still say it's still a must see/do if you're over that way. The sausage baps up the top are very good as well. :D The photographer could have been in a better spot mind, I could be anywhere!

    2017 Alps tour

We've just got back from a similar route. As Kreeeee says, the Stelvio will be disappointing. When we went over the top it was so busy it was like a circus, couldn't ride the Italian side at a sensible pace (read slipping the clutch in 1st to follow cars round hairpins) as there were loads of...
