Thanks, Yes it is a good case. The only gripe i had with it is the cable managment was a bit of a pain. I will post some pics of it when done with the benchmarking. Those multipliers where unlocked in the Bios on the Mobo. But they will only go up to 4.7 and then drops back to Auto

The Heaven bench i did before i hit the 4.7. That i put there just to show that it will run that bench mark. All the new Heaven and 3D Mark benchies that i am doing now will show clocks at what i am benching.

I will give it a go and see if the GPU can be clocked as there is no graphics overdrive in the CC. I will check the bios out to see if it can be tweeked there. Also i will do a 3D Mark bench as well, stock and clocked.

It has been running prime now for a couple of hours and still seem to be very stable with temps not over 50c and core voltage 1.45v

the same place you got your CPU example from Anand Tech. Also even with your calculations, GPU,CPU and all ancileries. I will let you work it out. not much headroom to play with there.

I do not use those calculators as they all differ and can be quite a bit out at times . I use power draw on each indavidual componant maxed and idle then calculate what i will need from there. Would you rather push a PSU at 90% or even a 100% with the chance it might be ok or it might start...

My calculations must differ from yours. Two GPU's not overclocked out of the box SLI or Crossfire in game eg Crysis, BFBC, pulling around 500w + a CPU at 125w. That is 625w. Question. What about power draw from Motherboard, RAM, Fans and DVD/ BLU RAY drives and HDD, not incl any overclocking...

I am not disputing the fact that intel i5/i7 are less power hungry than the AMD 125W Phenoms, what i am trying to get across is with twin mid to high end GPU's drawing around the 500w mark power draw, a 650 w PSU leaves none if any headroom for much else. A good 750w or for plenty of head room...

If you are not sure about the wait and you want a good all round cpu, then go for the 1090Tx6 Phenom. They overclock well and will work well with your Mobo. If you do not mind waiting then hang out to see what zambezi has to offer in a couple of weeks.
