I have a program which works just fine on high DPI screens, without using any of the Window 10 compatibiity settings. However, Windows 10 insists on adding specific DPI compatibility settings to the program.
If the Program Compatibility Assistant service is running, Windows says that it's...
I was going to get an AX210 M.2 module and a PCIe x1 adaptor, but I found the GC-WBAX210. Only thing is I haven't found for sure if it has a removable M.2 card. I'd like the versatility of an M.2 card.
And why? The rule is they have to actually be readily available.
Brownie points for mentioning things like:
chip manufacturer
single or dual rank
number of slots populated
One issue I'm having with my new GPU is that closing some games causes a loud buzzing to start from the the audio device on the GPU. For each game that causes the issue, the buzzing is different. Opening any game causes the buzzing to stop.
It seems like a strange problem. I have re-installed...
Little update: the "created" date is the date of the last registration, so even if there are gaps in the whois domain record, the created date is the relevant one for my query. Meaning I can put this down to fallible human memory.
Is there a way to see complete history of domain ownership activity for a .pro domain? I am certain that a domain I wanted was available when I checked recently, but the whois record says it has been registered for years and updated a few days ago. However, the expiry date is a number of whole...
I've been looking for a while but I haven't really found much that describes the ideal use cases for each of these devices. I suppose the pencil is for very precise work, while the general purpose station melts more joints more quickly? If that's all if seems bizarre that stations don't also...
Is there a way to stop a hard disk spinning up until a specific application tries to access data on it? In the ideal scenario the hard disk would not even spin up when the PC turns on.
I've read that you can only have one nVidia driver at a time, but that drivers are apparently available that support both cards on one system. I know that SLI between the different cards is not an option. I would like to continue to use my 970 for gaming (it's fine, I don't need more) but use a...
I'm trying to make a local area network with these requirements:
- Any device can connect to the LAN as normal via Ethernet or WiFi with zero configuration (except the WiFi password).
- All internet traffic is transmitted via the existing local SOCKS proxy server.
Nice to have but not...
Nero Recode 2017 seems to support NVENC. I might get that. If anyone has experience with it feel free to share. My main hesitation is that Nero software tends to be bloated these days.
Thanks, that's a useful start. Looks like a few programs can use that for screen recording. So far it doesn't seem that any maintained programs use it for transcoding.
Does anyone know how to downgrade the firmware on the original NowTV box? As I understand it, the box can only run signed firmware, but the old firmware will be signed, so no prob there.
Imo it's a pretty decent little box, crippled by the ad-centric firmware that's too heavy for it to run...
That's for all bookmarks. I just want to transfer the link of the current page. Apple also have an official Firefox extension to sync all bookmarks (surprisingly). It even got banned from the Firefox add-ons site once for causing security problems.
