Have you got an Xbox360 you could test that HDD with, as my cheap external doesnt show up on my 360 :(

What is a NAS drive because I was going to get WDTV instead as a streaming unit as I use homeplugs for my internet around the house. Would that be faster?

All I'd be doing is putting films, tv shows, and music on the drives so the laptop isnt running slow. Then using the external to stream from via xbox or connect to my pc then through HDMI to the TV.

I wasn't sure if this should be in the laptop section, or hard drives. But as I'm selling my rig, I'm keeping my hard drives as theres no point selling them for the sake of £30. My question is, is there a sort of caddie I can put them in so I can turn them into external? So SATA > USB 2/3?

I actually like clios, they feel better built then say a 106. Saxos are ugly unless you get the 1.6 sport version which costs a bomb to insure. I learnt in a KIA, but I wont go down that route :) £1000 budget and all

I dont see much gain from onboard sound and a £100 sound card IMO? Also getting new wireless turtle beach from xmas, they are like £160 which should do the trick for Xbox. Using 2x 6950 until IB come out, then probably upgrade then. Not many games coming out soon that will demand more then BF3 imo
