Im not sure really. The seller must expect to fulfill that order within 30 days. Meaning they must have some idea of stock to keep with that obligation. Also when funds are taken its with the understanding that those funds are then used to purchase a card. I don't know the rules around taking...
If the funds are used to buy the cards on preorder from the distributer, like what should happen. How could they not know. Other retailers stop taking orders at the point where they 'don't know'. Plus that ETA would have induced folk into purchasing at OC UK instead of other retailers. Thereby...
Thats the real kicker. An inducement that causes loss and inconvenience. Then again if they can expect to supply the card within 30 days of the ETA its deemed fine.
You are correct in my understanding. Like a preorder is only a preorder until the item is released. Then it becomes a back order/order. If the retailer knows the fulfillment will go beyond those 30 days they have to make it clear before purchase. The exchange of funds is an agreement that those...
I moved up 6 places from the low 50's. Everyone above that seems to have moved up 6 places also. Cancellations further down explain the disparity. So thats 6 off the list but you have also got 'prebuilt stock' possibly eating into the delivery.
Same rules apply. Its not a preorder and comes with the expectation of delivery within 30 days. Not that I care but the poster was right with what he said.
Finally someone who understands what the word 'pre-order' means in UK consumer law. Once an item is released it becomes an order. Taking funds for an order comes with the expectation of delivery within 30 days unless otherwise specified. Not that I mind but still...
Folk should be allowed to vent if they feel hard done by. If it goes beyond the rules then fair enough. No need to patronise others just because more established posters will back them up though.
Just got this from somewhere else. Don't know if its the same at OC though.- "*Please note, the Watch Dogs Legion & GeForce Now Founders Bundle are valid on all orders that ship/ invoice on or before October 20th. Any orders shipping after this date will not be eligible for the bundle."
Not really, not when money is exchanged for a preorder. The exchange of money for goods is a contract. Without money being taken it would still be wrong but less niggly. Giving money for a preorder that is then used to purchase cards to give to someone else who ordered something different. That...
